I'm SICK. ;A;

It's not bad though - apparently a little cold is going around campus.  I felt pretty shitty last night, but I'm feeling better today.

I'm auditioning for the musical (Two Gentlemen of Verona) on Sunday.  I REALLY want to get in - Two Gents is one of my favorite Shakespeare plays and Julia is my favorite Shakespearean heroine.  <3 <3  WANT.

Anime Club and Improv club are both off to awesome starts.  We got a great turn-out from both.  Katie, the old president of Kamikazes, came to our first meeting and seeing her was AWESOME.  She's living nearby so I'm going to make an effort to hang out with her.

Other than that, life's busy, but good.  Things are going fast and slow all at the same time and it's a strange feeling all in all.  Getting cosplay bunnies up the BUTT - sad I can't sew here. ;(

Hey guys, I've got some seriously rough news.  The ComedySportz theater in Hollywood has become a victim of the economy and is scheduling to close its doors for good.

ComedySportz LA has been running in Los Angeles for 22 years, and has expanded to the wider community in the form of workshops and the ComedySportz High School league, a program I was proud to be apart of for four years.

This program and the people who ran it have been such a huge part of my life.  My coaches, my refs, my counselors at ComedySportz camp - all of them influenced me so much and helped me become who I am today.  This show - these people - this theater - all of it - it's the greatest improv place in Los Angeles for so many reasons.

To be honest, I don't think I can imagine a world without ComedySportz.  My life would have been vastly different without this group, and I feel like so many more kids have benefited and could benefit from this theater and what they do.

ComedySportz has sent an e-mail to all its loyal fans asking for help.  Not for handouts, but for patronage.  They're selling packs of discounted tickets here: http://www.ourloyalfans.com/.

Please, if you can spare the money, I can't think of a better cause to give it to.

This is a group that teaches the world to say "yes, and", and inspires everybody to get up and take a risk.  They certainly taught me all that.

If you're in the LA area, please go see some of their amazing shows.  "The High" is one of my personal favorites, and ComedySportz is always a riot. It will be well-worth your money.  It's the best improv in Los Angeles.

If I could fly back from NY right now and go see two shows a night every weekend, I would.  But right now all I can do is spread the word and tell you just how much this place means to me.

Thank you so much.

The tickets are $50 for FOUR tickets.  A group can get together and go see AMAZING theater for $13.333 a person.  It's a great date night, it's a great friends-night-out - I promise that you will get MORE than your money's worth.

Hey guys.  Been on campus a little over 24 hours and am starting to feel the home-sickness setting on.  I think I need Lauren.  The fact that I haven't sat down and gabbed with her for hours yet is throwing off my funk.

I miss all of you like crazy.  I miss my family, and my extended family A LOT.

My apartment is spacious and wonderful.  We have a fancy living room for partying and fun times.  Love my roommates.

Interviewing for classes has been STRESSFUL.  I'm doing two more interviews tomorrow after the seven or eight I pulled off today.  The good thing about this is that I don't have to do ANY on Thursday.  I can register right away and not stress out (until I find out whether or not I got bumped. @_@).

There is a class on Indie-Game Design.  l MUST GET IN.  I interviewed for it today and it looks amaaaazing.  And it's pretty much made for me, so yeah.

Love and miss all of you.

Enjoy!  Link to my Flickr where the rest of them lay.  ENJOY GUYS! <3
Back from AX! Actually had a really good time, despite the actual con continuing to be a raging pile of suck.

Staff sucks, paying extra for events sucks, shuttles suck--

For everyone I got to see at AX, putting out a "holla". It was a seriously awesome time. Cosplay Chess went great (need more time next year!), Hanna is Not a Boy's Name cosplay times were EPIC, and general hanging-out was radical.

DURP-CON WAS DURP for the record. Pics or it didn't happen, so pics to come soon.

Next up is Comic-Con! EXCITED BEYOND WORDS. <3 <3 <3

(Durrr, I need more work, I finished all the work they have for me. ;A; I feel like a free-loader.)

So remember that three-day "temp" job I was offered?

Well, I've been there for two weeks. @_@

Money's great, but I've basically been working full time, which has pretty much killed my social life. Sorry for being so out of touch everybody.

AX is around the corner - I managed to get time off work. :) I'll be VERY casual in terms of cosplay. :( I wish I could be more excited about cosplay for this con, and in general, but this new full time job has just SUCKED all the will out of me. Before the job no money, after the job no time. :(

It's sad because I love making costumes and cosplaying, and I'm only making one new outfit for AX (Hanna from Hanna is Not a Boy's Name) and have no real will to pull out any others. I need to get excited about making stuff again, somehow. :D

So yeah, see a few of you at AX - it's sure to be fun in some capacity. <3

Job hunt still goes. Turned in apps and got more, handed out resumes and talked up a bunch of managers. Hoping something will come of it.

Tomorrow is girl's night out to go see Prince of Persia AGAIN. <3 (Oh Jake~~). Should be fun.

Right now? Completely exhausted from running around and being chatty.

So...fairegoddess did this when she was looking for a job, so I'm doing it too!  It's super motivating, durp durp. :X

Finding a job so far has been difficult - there just isn't a lot to go around.  But I'm not giving up.  Whether it be stalking Craigslist or applying to every store in the mall, I'm going to find a job to supplement my acting "career" (considering it hasn't started yet, durp).

Today's App Count: 4

I might do more after dinner, but I'm not giving up on this until I have a job in my hot little hands. <3  Lazy summer is a NO-GO.
